Erica's place is beautiful. It's located in Hermosa Palms a gated, upscale community with a stunning pool and beach access. The bedrooms and design of the place are great - just like in the photos. We loved looking at the stars and watching meteors from the roof. The large table was great for breakfast. I highly recommend this place, especially for families of all ages.

This place is well equipped and clean. The set up of the house is ok in case you want some privacy when this is rented by two families. The beach club is beautiful and the restaurant is great. The only point that I raised to the host is about the bad attitude of the security guards at the beach club (specially one who mentions he is a bodyguard to try to intimidate people), this is not proper of a family place… they like to harass people and get in conflicts unnecessarily. This makes me to really doubt about come back to this house or any other property at Palms Hermosa.

We were hoping to eat at the beach club but it closes quite early and opens quite late so didn’t work for dinner or breakfast for our 1 night stay which was a shame. Otherwise it was really great place to stay, beach right on your doorstep and nice pool.

Loved staying here with my group of friends! Really cute space, clean bathrooms with showers that have excellent water pressure. The hosts were kind, responsive and accommodating. The beds were a little firm, but I didn’t mind! Keep in mind the stairs to the upstairs bedrooms are outdoors, but we were a group of adults so we didn’t mind. Also, the Beach Club access especially made it worth every penny. The pool is clean, not crowded, and right near the beach. The swim up bar and their employees are so nice. Overall wonderful little gem, and would definitely stay here again!

Overall, I give our stay four stars, but I think this could definitely be a five star stay. First, the good: We loved the beach club and the pool, the restaurant and the swim up bar, security guards and staff were all super friendly and we felt safe, fun surfing directly in front of the beach club. The less than ideal: The first is that access to the two upstairs bedrooms is via stairs located outside and behind the house. This is not described in the listing and is inconvenient for families with kids. Also, to open the door upstairs, you have to use a key every single time. This means that every time someone goes upstairs, they need to coordinate with the other people staying in the other bedroom upstairs to either leave the upstairs door ajar or exchange the key. The second key would be extremely helpful. We asked for one twice and didn’t receive a response. The second issue was that the electricity at our house only was on and off for the first two days of our stay.

We just returned after a 1 week visit at Erica's place inside Hermosa Palms. The house was very comfortable for my party of 4. We arrived early in the morning after flying all night and the host was very nice to let us enter the house early so we could rest up. Thank you. The house was very comfortable. Each room had it's only mini split AC unit which kept things cool and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking small meals. The location was beautiful and the pool area, especially Yo Yo's, was a wonderful place to cool off with a cocktail and meal. We were very close to Jaco which has grocery and shopping. Overall this house is a 5 out of 5. I highly recommend staying there if you are in Playa Hermosa.

We really enjoyed our stay. Just wish we had added another day to have time to enjoy all the amenities. We did not realize the pool bar, spa and kitchen was closed on Mondays. Thankfully we enjoyed it on Sunday.

The apartment is right at the entrance of the resort. Very nicely decorated and designed. All the necessary equipment was available. One outstanding feature is clearly the pool from the beach club which is also available for the ones staying in the Airbnb. And the whole beach is just stunning and provides great opportunity for long and lonely beach walks.

Really enjoyed our weekend getaway at this place. Only downside is that 2 of the bedrooms are located upstairs and access is separate and access is through outside stairs so if it’s raining you will need to grab your umbrella to go up and down those rooms. Other than that great place, private gated community and the beach club is great! Thank you.

Great location near Jaco but not too close. The actual home was fantastic and fit our five people perfectly with two king beds for the two couples and the room with two twin beds for our single friend. The neighborhood is so peaceful and very secure plus the house is right next to the guard. The pool is a very short walk away and then you are just steps from the beach. At the pool you’ll also find a great little kitchen and bar where they make the absolute best piña coladas, emphasis on PIÑA, just watch out for the iguana who will absolutely beg like a dog for pieces of your pineapple. We had an absolutely wonderful time and would absolutely stay here again the next time we are in Costa Rica.

Muy bonita la decoración , la zona de piscina y playa .El tamaño del apartamento es más pequeño y no es como se ve en las fotos ya que uno se imagina un área más amplia . Dos de los cuartos se encuentran en la segunda planta y el acceso a ellos es muy incomodo y peligroso ya que literalmente hay que salirse de la planta baja en medio de la lluvia para llegar (gradas y pasillo mojados) . Si se lleva niños o jóvenes no es recomendable ya que para comunicarse con los cuartos de arriba hay que ir hasta allá y si hay lluvia fatal . La zona del comedor exterior con piso mojado y resbaloso y no se puede usar por lluvia. Lleve a mi mamá adulta mayor de 83 años no vidente y 5 adolescente ( todos a mi cargo ) y pedí desde un día antes que me dejaran salir a las 12 en vez de las 11 am y no quisieron y a las 11 am en punto ya nos estaban pidiendo que saliéramos , me sentí muy presionada y acongojada) Poca amabilidad y empatía .

We loved the beach and the beach club. The Beach Club's food was amazing! There were many shady spots to sit or lounge at the beach and pool. The host was very responsive, but we did have a few issues during our stay. The upstairs rooms had mold on the ceilings from a roof leak. Several inches of standing water with mold on the upper balcony leaked into the ceiling. To access the upstairs bedrooms, you must go outside and up an exterior stairway. The upstairs door doesn't have a handle and my kids couldn't open it without an adult. During the last 24 hours, the internet didn't work. Without access to a washer and dryer, the towels situation wasn't adequate for showering, swimming, and beach days. Overall we had a great time, but there are opportunities for improvement.

Nice beach condo in beautiful Playa Hermosa. The house was great and kitchen was well-stocked with supplies. Helpful to have amenities like grill and beach towels. Beach club was very nice and staff are friendly. Only issue was construction noise across the street where they are building a new condo. Beach is good for surfing and strong swimmers, be careful there is a strong rip current.

Quel magnifique séjour!! Les lieux étaient très propres et bien décorés. Nous n’avons manqué de rien. L’accès au club privé ( piscine/ terrasse) a été un gros wow!! À part les débris de bois , La plage est extraordinaire! Il faut comprendre que pour avoir accès aux deux chambres du haut , il faut passer par l’extérieur . Peut-être un peu moins accessible pour une famille avec jeunes enfants. L’espace commune est petite. Heureusement que la température était clémente, Nous avons pu souper à l’extérieur . Les hôtes sont très gentils et disponibles pour favoriser une escapade mémorable. Nous recommandons grandement!!

A nice place to stay, but be aware that this is not the “whole house” as the listing states. It is half the house which means, if other people are staying in the other half of the house, the car parking becomes a little cramped. Otherwise, it’s a nice area, and is quite clean. The host responds quickly and were helpful in resolving a couple of issues (tv remote wasn’t working, but they came to fix the same day I asked).

It was so great to have access to the pool and stay so close to the beach! The home itself is a very short walk (1-2 minutes) from both amenities. The restaurant on property is owned and operated by the nicest woman (Yoyo). We enjoyed everything we ordered! The hosts were responsive to all of our questions during our stay and had more towels dropped off when we requested them. If staying with young kids, I would just recommend keeping a watchful eye on the stairs in the back as there isn’t a railing. All in all, would recommend!

El lugar en general está bien. Hermosa Palms es un condominio muy bonito y seguro, con todo lo necesario para disfrutar unas vacaciones tranquilas. Como detalle a tomar en cuenta, la propiedad en parece es un apartamento de 1 habitación dentro de una casa dividida en dos, con sala y un comedor en la terraza. La cocina cuenta únicamente con una hornilla de dos espacios. Además, tiene dos habitaciones en la planta alta, pero para acceder a ellas hay que salir de la casa y entrar por una escalera externa sin techo, lo cual puede resultar incómodo si está lloviendo. Los anfitriones fueron muy amables y están conscientes de la recomendación de colocar un techo para mejorar esta situación.

Overall, it was a great day and the description matched the experience. The development is beautiful with an amazing private beach and really fun waves though they can get a bit big for younger children. Yo-yo‘s restaurant is superb and everyone is very friendly. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed. Only recommendations for improvements are that the chair in the main living room is broken and needs to be replaced. It also wasn’t entirely clear which door to open with which key but we figured that out easily enough. Also, make sure you are comfortable having the upstairs unit separate from downstairs - the upstairs door locks automatically which was a bit of an inconvenience as we had to keep opening it with the key. An ability to keep that unlocked would be helpful. Finally, while no fault of Bruno, there was construction across the street from a new pool and patio being put in during Christmas week. Not in their control, but still very loud and disruptive.

The location was excellent and one of the highlights of our stay and yo-yos restaurant was excellent and my family loved it. Before arriving, I did reach out to the host regarding a previous review that mentioned a mold smell in the first-floor bedroom. Unfortunately, we experienced the same issue, which meant we weren’t able to use the bedroom in that space. That said, the upstairs area was comfortable, though a bit tight for four people. If the downstairs bedroom had been usable, the stay would have been perfect. Overall, we still enjoyed the location and appreciate the host’s communication.

Great location, just a short walk to the beach. The place was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the hosts were responsive. That said, for the price we expected more. The finishes feel quite basic and there was a noticeable mold smell at times. Also, the two upstairs bedrooms are accessed from outside, which is important to know. Also worth noting: the upstairs door locks automatically, so you always need the key, and there’s only one set. The AC in the living area wasn’t working when we arrived and they were already aware of it—would have been better to know in advance. They fixed it the next day, but the process was a bit disorganized. Overall, good location, but could use better attention to detail to match the price.

La atención excelente solo un par de observaciones, debería de estar mejor especificado que 2 de las habitaciones tiene el acceso totalmente aparte de la casa hay que rodeaerla y subir unas escaleras sin techo lo cual se dificulta mucho si llueve. Si se va la luz se va el agua 😑 en todo el complejo entonces tampoco hay servicio de bar/smoothies/comida. La cafetera dura muchísimo para 2 tazas 🙈😅 creo que tiene el contacto malo. Por el resto tal cual como las fotos, decoraciones super lindas, camas cómodas y atención excelente!

We really enjoyed the use of the community pool during our stay with our family. It was a short walk to the beach which was nice. The kitchen was well stocked but a little small for cooking main meals - it worked well for breakfast and light lunches. The bedrooms were nicely air conditioned and were very comfortable. We enjoyed our time at the house in Playa Hermosa. The best parts were the great patio area with a long table so we could sit outside and see macaws and iguanas. The pool area was amazing as well. The only problems were the construction across the street of a new unit, but that is temporary and won't affect future renters. The security guard was really helpful when my mother in law locked her keys in the second story unit. The beach there is absolutely not a swimming beach owing to the intense riptides, but it is gorgeous to look at. The house is really close to Jaco and easy access to other great areas around the coast.

La casa en playa hermosa está literal entrando al fraccionamiento privado al lado de la caseta de entrada, caminas 2 cuadras o menos y llegas al club de playa, muy agradable la alberca y la playa enfrente, con una zona de bancas para disfrutar ver las olas, que aunque no te puedas meter, en las caminatas te mojas los pies, ves guacamayas y pájaros hermosos. Lo mejor de La casa: La terraza de la entrada, comer ahí fue muy agradable…y está totalmente equipada para una estancia muy acogedora. Y el precio me pareció excelente, el ruido de las construcción no nos molestó pues nos levantamos temprano, la gente del lugar (caseta, vigilantes) , muy amables
