The house is inside the Místico community in Playa Hermosa, a quiet residential area built around a series of lakes and surrounded by trees.
Playa Hermosa is one of Costa Rica's best-known surf beaches, a few minutes away by car, and Jacó — with its restaurants, supermarkets and nightlife — is a short drive north.
The community is residential and sound carries over the water, which is why evenings here are genuinely quiet.

Guests have the entire home and its private pool.
The property is inside the Místico community, with lake access and shared beach access. The resort facilities are available for an additional fee.
Check-in is self check-in with a keypad, so you can arrive on your own schedule. Free parking on the premises.
The home is managed by Zafiro Property Management. The best way to reach us is through the Airbnb message thread — we're available 24/7, before you arrive and at any hour if something urgent comes up.
Check-in is self-service with a keypad, so no one needs to meet you at the door. We can also arrange cleaning mid-stay on request.
When you arrive at the main entrance of the Místico community, let security know you are going to Barca #5 and give them your full name and ID or passport number. If you're not sure how to get there, the staff at the gate will guide you or take you to the house.
This is a residential community, not a resort: the lakes and green areas are shared with neighbours who live here year-round.

July 2025Sin lugar a duda es un town house precioso! impecable! Las camas son demasiado cómodas! Las duchas con agua caliente buenísima! La vista AL LAGO es PERFECTA! Mi única recomendación sería tener ventiladores para poder utilizar durante el día, al tener el aire acondicionado apagado! Principalmente en el área de afuera pues el del techo no abarca todo el espacio! Contratamos servicio de limpieza a media semana y estuvo muy bueno tamb! Nuestros host nos ayudaron con los detalles necesarios! Deseamos volver muy pronto!

July 2025I have to say the experience was much better than expected. It had been a long time since I visited a place that offers a space far better than what is shown in the photos. It's a property surrounded by areas to walk and relax. I really enjoyed the afternoons sitting by the lake—I believe this, the walks in the surroundings, and the comfort of the property are definitely its strongest points. A place I undoubtedly will return to.

Lo unico es que para ir a la playa es complicado, hay que manejar y buscar una puerta de acceso y luego buscar el acceso a la playa. A parte de eso, es un lugar muy lindo y super comodo! La casa full equipada y pasamos muy bien!

January 2026El condominio en sí es hermoso, y quedarnos en Barca hizo que la experiencia superara mucho las expectativas. Se sentía como estar en casa, cómoda, amplia, tenía todo lo que ocupábamos para nuestra estadía. Todo se veía súper limpio y moderno. La decoración hermosa. En fin, todo genial.

February 2026We love our stay, the pool was perfect for our small children. The bedrooms were big and comfortable. We loved the bunkbeds too, very comfortable. We had a fantastic time at this beautiful property and enjoy very much the beautiful lake right outside the property where we got to fish.

February 2026This is a beautiful, almost new house. Location is perfect, in a gated community, quiet and just in front of the lake. Th house was perfectly cleaned and even better than the pictures. The host were always quick providing info and advise. The private pool was a blest for our kids. Even the house and community are pretty quiet, it is located just a few minutes from Jaco, herradura and some other nice spot: restaurants, markets and beaches. We will come back soon..!

February 2026Jose is a professional and responsive host, and communication was always easy. We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and the beautifully designed house. One suggestion: mosquito nets on the bedroom windows and terrace doors would be helpful, as we prefer sleeping with open windows rather than using air conditioning. For transparency, the house is part of a larger complex, and we later read some discussions about possible ecological concerns related to the overall project. This did not affect our stay, and overall we had a very good experience.

March 2026Nuestra estadía fue excelente. La casa tiene todo lo necesario para una estancia cómoda. La piscina privada es un gran plus: perfecta para refrescarse. Además, la ubicación es privilegiada, justo frente al lago, con una vista muy linda que hace que el lugar sea aún más especial. Sin duda es un lugar al que volveríamos y que recomendamos.

August 2026We has a wonderful vacation at Mistica Lakeside House! Location is great for those looking for an easy and short drive to the beach from San Jose. The house is located inside a safe and family friendly gated community with beautiful lakes, paved roads ideal for running, bicycling or walking, and quick easy access to the beach. Jose Alberto and his co-hosts team were always available to answer any questions or things that needed attention. Communicating with his teams was a breeze and make things even more enjoyable. We will definitely stay at Mistica Lakeside House again!

September 2026La casa estaba bien y la ubicación increible. Nos gusto disfrutar de la piscina, el lago, hacer paddle board, entre otros. Tuvimos problemas para el ingreso porque el llavin inteligente estaba fallando por lo que tuvimos que esperar por la llave como 45 min. Ya dentro de la casa todo estuvo bien hasta que el aire acondicionado de un cuarto empezo a gotear encima de la cama y uno de los cuartos se cerrara la puerta y no pudimos habrirla. Tuvimos que esperar bastante tiempo para que enviaran a alguna persona de mantenimiento a abrirla. La administración del apartamento envio a una persona a lidiar con el llavin ya que no tenian llaves. Quitando esos pequeños problemas que tuvimos, la estadia estuvo muy bonita. Tada la familia disfruto del lugar y todo lo que se ofrece. Muchas gracias a Jose por dejarnos usar su casa.

September 2026Un lugar muy bonito! Perfecto para ir en familia. El lago es espectacular, la casa tiene muy buenos acabados y super bien equipada. Muy recomendada. El inicio estuvo un poco caótico con problemas con la cerradura y falla de comunicación con la persona encargada de la limpieza, pero una vez resulto, la estadía fue muy placentera. Muy recomendados!

La piscina es un espacio para refrescarse y ver el paisaje. Místico es un mega destino, para los que disfrutan la tranquilidad, paisajes hermosos y privacidad.
